Group counselling gives you the chance to discuss your issues in a group environment and has the following benefits:

  • Reinforcement of achievements by others in the group
  • Not feeling so alone and isolated
  • A diversity of opinions and encouragement from others
  • Confirmation that your problems are not unique
  • A chance to openly talk with others living with similar issues

Effective treatment can help sufferers to manage, reduce or even eliminate their troubling symptoms. Techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) teach people new and effective ways to cope with their symptoms and provide invaluable skills for life. CBT is practiced with a mindfulness based approach.

With appropriate treatment and support, most people can get on with living their lives again.

Perinatal depression and anxiety support group
